Meet the E-Board!

Elise Buellesbach
President
Elise Buellesbach is a sophomore political science major, originally from San Jose, California. She fell in love with the water more than 10 years ago and has been swimming ever since; everything from summer cabana swimming to high school and club swim to open water, she finds joy in this sport. Most recently, Elise competed in, and won, a race under the Golden Gate Bridge in the San Francisco Bay. When she is not in the water, you can find Elise talking (often about politics but anything works) and living up the moments of sunshine here in DC.
Steph Qualls
Vice President
Hi! My name is Steph Qualls, I'm a sophomore from Davidson, North Carolina studying Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government. I've been swimming since I was 7 and joined AUCS my freshman year. My favorite events are 200 Back and Breast, and I'm a puzzle master outside of the pool!

Hi! my name is Maya and I’m a senior from Seacoast NH, studying marketing and analytics. I’ve been on club swim since my freshman year and I’ve been swimming literally my whole life. I really love reading, cooking, crocheting, and making spotify playlists!

Hi I’m Zoe! I’m a senior majoring in History and Justice and Law. I have been on the swim team since my freshman year. I have loved swimming all my life! On campus I am also involved with in the Students for a Just Society as one of the events coordinators!
Alyssa Toppi

Hi! My name is Alyssa and I'm a sophomore from Massachusetts majoring in Political Science and minoring in Communications. I've been swimming since 3rd grade and joined AUCS Fall of my freshman year. Outside of swimming, I love lifting, buying more plants, and photography!
Jacob Crater
Safety Officer
Hey! My name is Jacob Crater and I am a Junior from Raleigh, North Carolina majoring in Biochemistry and on a pre medical track. This will be my second year on the team, though I have been swimming since I was 10 year’s old. My activities outside the pool include doing research in a chemistry lab, baking, cooking, and playing video games. I look forward to serving you all and keeping everyone safe!
Bonnie Bishop
Head Captain
Hi! My name is Bonnie and I’m a senior double majoring in Journalism and Justice and Law. I have been swimming since 2005 and coaching since 2018. I also used to be a gymnast for 15 years! Aside from being head captain for club swim, I am also the podcast director for AU’s student media group, AWOL.
Kevin Becker
Co-Captain
My name is Kevin Becker, I’m a junior from Glenview, Illinois. I’ve been swimming for 12 years on multiple levels and I’m really excited to be a part of this team. I'm willing to almost drown teammates to win Ships and Sailors during fun days. I also like walking and meeting new people.
Emily Larsen
Head Coach
Emily Larsen is a graduate student from Sidney, Maine studying Justice and Law. She has been on the team since Fall 2019 and served as Treasurer from 2020-2021. She now serves as the head coach of Club Swim. In her free time, Emily enjoys exploring DC, cooking, and baking.
